The oldest linen manufacturer in Northern Ireland, William Clark & Sons, today announced its decision to switch its electricity supply to renewable energy by transferring to a cleaner, cheaper source supplied by Airtricity – Ireland’s leading renewable energy company.
Scottish and Southern Energy plc (“SSE) has been granted consent by Scottish Ministers to develop in southern Scotland a wind farm with a total capacity of up to 456MW. This wind farm will be built in two phases and, on completion will be the largest onshore wind farm in Europe.
Airtricity today announced that it has signed a joint venture agreement with Italian wind farm development company Entropya. Under the terms of the agreement, Airtricity owns 60% of the joint venture partnership and Entropya owns 40%.
