Airtricity has established its US headquarters in Chicago - the windy city, with development offices located in Albany, New York and Dallas, Texas. It is continuing to expand its development portfolio and has over 3,000MW in the development pipeline. Airtricity sees major growth potential in the US market and plans to be a major force in the US wind industry.

In December 2005 Airtricity acquired Renewable Generation Inc (RGI) an Austin, Texas based wind energy developer. The deal gives Airtricity 100% ownership of the 215MW McDonald Ranch wind project which the two companies have been jointly developing and which goes into construction in mid 2006 - as well as other assets.

During 2006, the company will enhance its position in the key market areas and commence development in a number of new states.
