Wind Farm Operator

Airtricity is a world leading renewable energy company, operating and developing wind farms in Ireland, Scotland, England, the United States and China. As an integrated utility, the company is both a generator and supplier of green electricity and currently supplies renewable electricity to over 40,000 commercial customers in Ireland. Due to the expansion of our Irish Operations, we now hope to fill the following position :

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

· Ensuring high level of health and safety standards is maintained.

· Ensuring operation of wind-farm meets availability targets.

· Overseeing wind farm operational issues and ensuring appropriate maintenance is carried out by Vendors.

· Operating and overseeing maintenance of site BOP balance of plant, including HV switching.

· Interface with Vendor and National Grid (utility) regarding HV switching.

The successful candidate will have :

· FAS approved Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering

· Experience of working with low and high voltage DC and AC

· Experience of servicing, troubleshooting, and modifying high technology plant

· Good interpersonal, communications and relationship management skills

· Knowledge and experience of mechanical engineering principles

· Experience of using office IT systems and applications
