Your meter is read by ESB Networks (electricity) or Bord Gáis Networks (gas) four times a year, so we rely on estimated readings outside of these times to bill you.

We calculate your reading using a number of factors including your past readings, past usage, current usage and the time of year to ensure they’re as accurate as possible.

If you want to be sure you're only paying for the energy you use, it's important to submit regular meter readings.
