Your gas boiler is like your car - it needs regular servicing to keep running smoothly and avoid breakdowns. The Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI) recommends that you get your gas boiler serviced every 12 months.

Regular servicing keeps you and your home safe
One of the major reasons to get a regular service is safety. If your gas boiler is not burning properly, ventilation is blocked, or your gas appliances have unseen damage, dangerous levels of carbon monoxide (CO2) can result - putting you at risk of CO2 poisoning.
What happens when you book a gas boiler service
Arranging the time
We'll give you a date and a 3-hour window for your appointment.
A couple of days before your service we'll call you to confirm the time and make sure someone will be home.
Getting your boiler serviced
Our engineer will carry two forms of ID: an Airtricity ID card, and a Registered Gas Installers (RGII) card.
Each service includes a 16-point safety check, including inspecting the flue, ventilation, settings, water pressure and internal components.
Certificate & payment
We'll provide you with an RGII certificate, and you'll then pay the engineer via cash or credit/debit card.
If there are any repairs required, we'll also give you a quote for the costs and arrange another appointment if needed.

Free Energy Monitor
Our energy monitor only takes a few minutes to set up and start saving you money. On average, homes with monitors have cut down their energy use by around 11%, which is great news for your wallet and the environment.
How it works
The Transmitter

This compact device sits in your meter box and uses a clamp to attach to your meter. It wirelessly sends your usage data to the monitor in your house.
The Monitor

Your monitor will work up to 30m from your electricity meter and can be plugged into any standard power socket (don't worry it costs very little to run).
Set it up somewhere visible l like your kitchen or your sitting room, and you’ll be able to quickly identify your energy hogs or see when you’ve left something like the immersion on.
We'll also give you a guide to help you identify your energy hogs and record your energy usage so you can see progress from month to month.
Will it work with any type of property?
To set up the energy monitor you need to have a secure meter box within 30m of your home (so unfortunately it’s not suited to most apartments).
