Environmental, Health and Safety Policy
Airtricity has established an Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) policy which reflects our commitment to EHS and outlines the broad principals that Airtricity expects from all persons who plan or carry out any activity on behalf of Airtricity. These principles are as follows:
- To operate our business in an environmentally and socially responsible manner
- To protect the health and safety of our employees, contractors, visitors and others affected by our activities by the provision and maintenance of safe and healthy workplaces and the fostering of responsible behaviour among all parties.
- To identify, evaluate and control any health, safety or environmental risks with the principle goal of avoidance of risk where reasonably practicable.
- To conduct our business activities in compliance with all applicable health, safety and environmental regulations.
- To promote environmental, health and safety awareness to our employees, contractors, visitors and customers.
- To promote and develop a culture of continuous environmental, health and safety improvement amongst employees and contractors.
- To provide all employees with the information, instruction, training and supervision they need to work safely and efficiently and in accordance with any safety systems or specifically designed methods of work.
- To work pro-actively with local authorities and the community at large to progress EHS initiatives and exchange best practice
- To undertake regular safety and environmental audits and inspections of the workplace.
- To review our EHS Management system annually to ensure continued commitment and improving performance.
These policies form the framework for the setting of both high level and site specific EHS objectives.
