Coomatallin

Coomatallin wind farm is located near Dunmanway in West County Cork. This region of West Cork has proven to be a very suitable location for the production of electricity from wind energy, with a number of wind farms utilizing the excellent wind resources in this area. The 6 MW wind farm consists of four 1500kW General Electric wind turbines with an extension planned for 2 further turbines. It is anticipated that these will be installed towards the end of 2005.
