Institute of Creative Advertising & Design Awards 2004
In April 2004, Airtricity embarked on its first national advertising campaign utilising television and radio as the main media. The campaign, which was featured in both the Republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland, was designed to build awareness of the Airtricity brand as well as to increase the customer base.
The TV advertisement features a series of images relating to the everyday business use of electricity with sound effects in the background to indicate that the electricity is coming from natural resources.
The company won two awards for the television advert at the annual Institute of Creative Advertising & Design awards. The ICAD’s are the acid test for creativity and design and universally recognised as the ultimate advertising awards ceremony in Ireland.
