Billing and Collections Administrator x 2 - REF: AR/08/87

Airtricity is the renewable energy development division of Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE).  The company has responsibility for the development of onshore and offshore wind farms in the UK, Ireland, Europe and Asia as well as developing hydro and marine projects. 

One of Airtricity’s flagship projects is based off the Suffolk coast in the UK and is the 504MW Greater Gabbard offshore wind farm, which when completed will be the world's largest offshore wind farm.  Airtricity was acquired by SSE in February 2008 and the combined Airtricity / SSE team have developed 40 new wind farms across Europe and North America resulting in over 1500MW, making it a leading wind farm developer.  The company’s goal is to protect the future of our planet by delivering renewable energy with passion, innovation and integrity.

We are currently seeking to recruit a Billing and Collections Administrator. This role will support the Billing and Collections Team Leader to deliver a first class service and meet the targets set for the Billing and Collections function. The successful candidate will play a proactive role in ensuring the company captures all chargeable revenue, minimising errors throughout the process to ensure the highest levels of service, delivery and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing the stop billing queue – analyse and complete actions on all reads that are prevented from passing through validation rules
  • Monitoring and maintaining the credit and collection call queue
  • Invoice validation – analyse and action invoice exceptions
  • Attendance at weekly team meetings to contribute and share knowledge with other billing team members
  • Working closely with all the supply team to ensure processes are followed correctly, and assisting in the implementation of new procedures
  • Working as a team member within the department and company as a whole to assist in the achievement of overall department and company objectives
  • Pro-actively identify process improvements and liaise with other members of the team to deliver innovative solutions

The successful candidate should have the following skills and experience:

  • Good telephone manner
  •  Exceptional attention to detail
  • Strong customer driven focus
  • Capable of working under pressure to meet tight deadlines
  • Provision of excellent customer satisfaction by continually striving to improve service quality
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • A desire to undergo continued professional development
  • Utilities / Telecoms experience is desirable, but not essential
