Offshore Project Manager
Purpose
To ensure that all new offshore wind development initiatives are properly conceived, formally planned and proactively managed in line with Airtricity policies and guidelines.
Background
Airtricity is seeking to appoint a project manager for its offshore wind farm development programme. The person appointed will be responsible for a number of Airtricity offshore wind farm developments in the Netherlands.
This appointment will be based in the Netherlands and will report to the Head of Dutch Offshore.
Accountabilities/Outputs:
- Initiate and deploying comprehensive project set up and control measures to ensure that all offshore wind development projects deliver:
Best commercial outcomes
Appropriate levels of risk management and reporting
Formal allocation of project tasks and responsibilities
Good budgeting and cost management
Timely outcomes
- Preparation and implementation of Project Plans including:
Project control and integration
Project schedule
Risk assessment/management
Technical/Quality issues
Communications planning
Public and community relations
Financial control
- Provide effective management of all personnel associated with the project(s) undertaken.
- Maintain effective and proactive management and control of contractors and consultants.
- Regular communications and reporting of project progress to all stakeholders.
- Any other duties as required and agreed between the parties.
The preferred candidate must have:
- A Degree engineering, environmental science or comparable industry project management qualifications.
- Strong working knowledge of renewable energy generating technologies (Especially Wind Energy), offshore oil & gas operations and/or utility/electricity market experience.
- Strong communication and well developed people skills
- Sound project management and control capability skills including a proven ability to manage complex matrix projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Minimum of 5-10 years proven recent project management experience leading large scale projects.
- Good written and oral communication skills and the ability to prepare clear reports and public presentation to senior management at board level.
- Fluency in Dutch, English and German.

- The role is development focused.
- The role is based in the Netherlands.
- The role will require travel at times including overnight stays.
