Moving premises

Important Notice: When vacating a premises, you will remain liable for all subsequent usage at the premises until such time as you provide us with the closing meter reading and your forwarding address. Simply call us on 1850 40 40 70 with your final meter reading and forwarding address.

Moving premises can be a stressful time. There are so many different things to think of. So we’ve put this simple guide together to take the pain out of switching electricity suppliers when you move premises

Step 1:

Take a final meter reading on your last day at the premises you are vacating.

If you are unsure about how to take a meter reading, simply click onHow to read a meter’. Alternatively, you may ring our customer service team on 1850 40 40 70 and they will be happy to explain it to you.

Note: If possible, agree the meter reading with the new occupier or landlord of the premises.

             

Step 2:

Call our customer service team on 1850 40 40 70 with the final meter reading.

When you call, please remember to have:

  1. Your MPRN number(s). This appears on the top of your Airtricity bill.
  2. Your forwarding address so that we can send you the final bill.
  3. The name of the new occupier or landlord of the premises so that we can continue to supply green electricity to the premises.

     

Step 3:

When you move into the new premises, call our sales team on 1850 40 40 80 to arrange the switchover to Airtricity.

  • When you call, please remember to have a recent electricity bill from the previous occupier or landlord of the premises so that our telesales agent can ascertain which tariff is applicable.
  • The telesales agent will arrange for a sales representative to call to your premises with an application form and to take a starting meter read. Alternatively,  Click here to download Change of Tenancy application form, complete it and return it to us at the address given overleaf.
  • Once the completed application form has been received by us, we will arrange the switch to Airtricity.
