Tournafulla wind farm open day
In recognition of the pan European wind day celebrations, Airtricity opened its Tournafulla wind farm in West County Limerick to the public on Saturday, 14th June from 11am to 4pm.
This event was hosted at the Devon Inn Hotel (Templeglantine), Co. Limerick where we ran a number of activities and entertainment for all the family at the Devon Inn including:
Throughout the afternoon, a number of shuttle buses were available to transport open day attendees to our 18 turbine wind farm where they received first hand information from our wind farm operators how a turbine works.
The sun was shining, the wind was blowing and over 500 people came out in force to celebrate European Wind Day with us!
