Minsca
Planning approval was given in June by Dumfries & Galloway Council for a 16 turbine, 36.8MW wind farm at Minsca Farm near Lockerbie in June 2005. Minsca wind farm became operational in March 2008.
Located approximately 8 km to the east of Lockerbie, the wind farm is expected to supply green energy to around 26,000 homes and could mitigate around 108,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide per annum.
