Airtricity is the renewable energy development division of Scottish and Southern Energy (SSE). The company has responsibility for the development and construction of all SSE Renewable projects across Europe, including onshore and offshore wind farms, hydro, marine and solar projects. Airtricity Supply currently supplies renewable energy to both residential and business customers in Republic of Ireland, and to business customers in Northern Ireland. Airtricity is seeking an IT Project Manager to help deliver key projects arising from the delivery of the Airtricity systems strategy. The candidate will have worked in a similar role and have exposure to industry standard project methodologies (eg Prince 2, PMI). The ability to establish and maintain key business relationships both internally and externally is a key factor. Excellent communication and presentation skills and the ability to deal at all levels of an organisation are essential. Focus on customer satisfaction and experience of providing and managing customer relationships in an IT services organisation would be a distinct advantage. Working as part of a small team and in a matrix managed environment the emphasis will be on flexibility, team collaboration and a drive to deliver quality results. Key Tasks Education and experience: Significant IT experience, you must have experience managing IT projects. A background in business and/or systems analysis is required. Experience working in an IT services organisation or in the management of external supplier relationships is highly desired. You should have good interpersonal skills as you will be expected to be pro-active in your approach but be sensitive to the pressures of working in a dynamic entrepreneurial driven environment. You should be flexible with regard to working in such a busy environment, and possess the ability to work on your own initiative. You should be a good team player and have demonstrated an ability to deliver IT solutions to meet business needs in a cost-effective manner.
