Natural Gas: Terms and Conditions

Dual fuel discounts based on electricity and gas at one address as a single account. % discounts and calculations based on comparison to regulated ESB and regulated Bord Gais standard tariff unit rates. 13% discount on regulated ESB unit rate and 10% discount on regulated Bord Gais standard tariff unit rates based on Airtricity SmartSaver Dual Fuel Online (e-Bill and direct debit). Electricity rates valid for up to 12 months, commencing from the date of sign-up, and apply for the remainder of the month plus the next 11 months (assuming valid meter read provided at sign-up). Gas rates valid to 30 September 2011. SmartSaver standard rates apply after introductory rates expire. Introductory discounts applicable to new customers only.

Carbon Tax

An excise duty, called Natural Gas Carbon Tax (NGCT), has been applied to supplies of natural gas to consumers in the State. The rate of Carbon Tax applied is the same for all natural gas suppliers, and is charged at a rate of €0.00277 per kWh consumed. To find out more about the Carbon Tax visit www.revenue.ie
