Scottish and Southern Energy are looking for talented graduates from engineering and business disciplines to join our 2010 graduate development programme.

The successful candidate will:

• Have, or be on course for a 2:1 degree in a relevant subject
• Be interested in developing a career with one of the leading UK utility companies
• Have experience of working within a team environment
• Be flexible in their approach to work and development opportunities
• Achieve set targets and use own initiative to overcome any challenges

In return, we will offer you a structured and challenging two-year development programme designed to assist you in reaching your full potential.

You will spend time developing your skills across different business areas and will have individual responsibility for real results at each stage. Where applicable, this will include some travel to sites throughout the UK to gain more practical exposure to certain business areas, therefore a current driving licence would be an advantage. Each business area will incorporate a full induction and you will be fully supported by a mentor for the duration of the programme.

Positions are available within our Renewables, Energy Supply, Generation, Major Projects and Power Systems businesses. We have opportunities across the UK and Ireland
